who directed me to here and informed me that most of the collection follows standard uk copyright laws.
he also stated that they have many copyright free recordings which can be found in the Public Collection. so this will be a great resource for me to find sounds from.
my mum also suggested i look into copyright law and see if there is any way i can use a small part of a copyrighted recording without infringing the copyright.
